Several Advisories are available covering different topics.  Descriptions of these, with links, are seen below.
Developing a Water Management Plan -
This Advisory describes the common components of a Water Management Plan that might be developed by a water district or some type of resource management agency.  It describes the common components of a Plan document, the common duties of a Water Management Coordinator, what Irrigation Evaluation Services (many times called "Mobile Irrigation Labs") do and how to set them up, and much more regarding the options available.  It also talks about setting up a web site like WATERIGHT.
Energy Use for Pumping -
This Advisory includes a calculator that will estimate annual energy costs for pumping for either electric or internal combustion power.  Pump tests and the requirements for an accurate test are explained.
Planning a Furrow Irrigation -
This Advisory includes a calculator that will estimate the equivalent depth of water applied for a given furrow spacing, set time, and furrow flow.  It presents a method of planning for a furrow irrigation.  Included in this Advisory is a chart of estimated soil moisture depletion for various soils based on the look and feel of a soil sample.
Planning a Sprinkler/Micro Irrigation -
This Advisory includes a calculator that will estimate the equivalent depth of water applied for a given set time and system configuration.  It presents a method of planning for a sprinkler or micro irrigation.  Included in this Advisory is a chart of estimated soil moisture depletion for various soils based on the look and feel of a soil sample.
Distribution Uniformity and Irrigation Efficiency -
This is a discussion of the two main parameters of irrigation performance.  The two relationships between the two measures are explained.  Also, the different ways the they can be calculated and the time-dependent and area-dependent nature of irrigation efficiency are explained.
Nonpoint Source Pollution-
This is a brief primer on nonpoint source pollution (NPS).  The three-step model of the pollution process is presented.  The model program for addressing NPS problems is presented with an explanation of how "best management practices" fit into these programs.  Included is a list of recommended management practices as presented by Washington State University Cooperative Extension Publication EM4885 - Irrigation Management Practices to Protect Ground and Surface Water Quality.
Water-Budget Irrigation Scheduling -
This is a brief tutorial on what water budget irrigation scheduling is, and what is entailed in performing this type of scheduling in the field.
Graphical / Sensor-based Irrigation Scheduling -
This is a brief tutorial on what graphical irrigation scheduling is, and what is entailed in performing this type of scheduling in the field.  The various types of soil and plant moisture measurement devices are identified and briefly explained.
Energy/Water Efficiency Calculator for Irrigation Systems -
This is a calculator for determining if further investigations are warranted for the purposes of a potential incentive for making changes to an irrigation system and/or pumping system.
